Dates and time slots

Monday 27 April 2026*

4-5:30pm

*Unfortunately, we have now hit capacity for our final event.

Who is Prom Unity for?

Prom Unity is primarily for young people from low-income families or on pupil premium who may need support finding an outfit for prom or leaver’s ball events.

We understand that prom can be expensive, and outfits, shoes, and accessories can quickly add up. This event is here to make the experience more accessible and stress-free for those who need it most.

Location and access

Kids Inspire office, Hargrave House, Great Baddow, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 7FW

Eligibility and guidelines

  • for students in Year 11 and Year 13

  • priority is given to those from low-income families or receiving pupil premium

  • one dress or suit per young person.

Prom Unity means I don’t have to worry about finding the money to buy a suit for my son, and he doesn’t have to miss out because of my financial circumstances. You never want to let your children down. Prom only happens once, but with everything being so expensive, it’s hard. We are very grateful.

  • No. We simply ask everyone to register so we can manage numbers for each time slot. When you arrive, our team will check you in using our attendee list for your chosen date and start time - no physical ticket needed.

  • We aim to offer as many styles and sizes as possible, but as our event relies on donations, we currently have a larger selection of dresses than suits. Looking for a particular size? Feel free to get in touch with any questions communityengagement@kidsinspire.org.uk.

  • In the past, some families have chosen to make a donation towards an outfit. This is completely optional and entirely at your discretion. There is absolutely no expectation to give.
