About Impetus

“The young people Impetus work with need your support: 2 million are growing up in poverty in Britain today and through no fault of their own they will do less well at school, are less likely to make it to university and are less likely to find & keep a job.” - Impetus

The Impetus Relay will raise money for Impetus’ vital work: transforming the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK by helping them to succeed in school, work and life.

They do this by working closely with and funding a portfolio of 25 exceptional charities, each working with young people in their own way, either by supporting them in education or by helping them to find work. Each charity has its unique programme and works with the young people who most need their support to nurture and help them to succeed. Whether it’s through tutoring, sport, skills workshops or oracy training, they know that their charities’ methods work and have the data to prove it.
