Basildon-based Ambassador takes on 500-mile walk in aid of children’s mental health

Committed supporter, Lane Line, has kicked off 2022 by signing up to a 500-mile virtual walking challenge, in aid of Kids Inspire.

Lane has supported Kids Inspire for over four years through our annual Christmas Appeal. In 2021, she surpassed all of her previous year targets when she collected and delivered 318 hampers and over 200 gifts for local families in need. In recognition of this support, she was recently invited to become a Kids Inspire Ambassador by CEO and Clinical Director, Sue Bell OBE.

Now Lane and her friend Sarah Doyle, who also played a vital role in the Christmas Appeal collection, have extended their support for Kids Inspire by signing up to the Royal Jubilee Virtual Challenge, a walk/run a 500-mile virtual route, planned and designed by End to End in celebration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

Lane said:

“I am so excited to take on a challenge this year in aid of youth mental health. I am always looking for ways to support Kids Inspire so when I saw the Royal Jubilee challenge, I thought it would be a great opportunity to challenge myself and raise vital funds for the children, young people and families that Kids Inspire work with.

I would encourage anyone interested in pushing themselves, achieving their goals and empowering youth mental health, to sign up to the Royal Jubilee Virtual Challenge and join our team!”

Paula Ashfield, Head of Fundraising and Communications said:

“12 individual fundraisers have already signed up to take on the Royal Jubilee challenge and there is a real team feel amongst them. We have set up a WhatsApp group so that the team can encourage each other to reach their goals and stay motivated.

The adversity of the past 2 years has severely impacted youth mental health. Take on a challenge this year in aid of youth mental health, your commitment to a challenge can make a difference.”
