Mindful and Creative Kids (MACK) LEGO Workshop terms and conditions

Thank you for booking our services.  Please read these terms and conditions before using our services. Any booking of our services will be deemed to implicitly accept our terms and conditions. We want your child to have the best learning experience with us, so please read these carefully to ensure this is the correct workshop for your child to attend.

MACK workshop criteria

Priority will be given to children on pupil premium or from low-income families. (We will not ask to see any documentation of this)

Children must be aged 6-10. Any children older or younger than this will not be able to book on to the workshop due to safety reasons and age-appropriate content.

Multiple bookings

You may book more than one child per booking, please book each child on to a separate ticket. This allows our team to plan more accurately with numbers. For more information on this, please email communityengagement@kidsinspire.org.uk.

Cancellations

All bookings will be confirmed by email after a ticket has been booked, and the service should not be deemed confirmed until you have received an email confirmation.

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your booking   If you need to cancel, you must cancel through the ticketing website or make direct contact with the team using the email communityengagement@kidsinspire.org.uk or by calling 01245 914 725.

If you book a service and cancel it more than two times - we will reassess our ability to provide this service to you.

In exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel. If we must cancel, we will aim to give as much notice as is possible and suggest an alternative booking date.

Safeguarding

You can expect that all presenters will have valid DBS checks in place and will be safeguarding trained. Staff will abide by all Kids Inspire policies and procedures putting young people's safety and well-being at the heart of all we do.

Managing behaviour

By accepting these terms and conditions you are agreeing that your child can do the following.

  • Follow basic simple instructions

  • Be able to be without parental supervision for the duration of the workshop

  • To work within a ‘classroom’ setting and to sit carefully during the session.

  • To not put small pieces of Lego or any other equipment used during the workshop in their mouth.

Parents/carers will be asked to leave children at the workshop location for the duration of the workshop.  However, they MUST stay on site and easily reachable in case of an emergency or a child wanting to leave. We ask this as it gives children opportunities to develop their social skills with other children.

If a child is struggling, Kids Inspire staff will make all efforts possible to support the child and encourage them to stay for the session. If this cannot be done parents/carers will be contacted to collect the child.

At the beginning of any service, we will make clear our code of conduct for the children attending. If a child causes contact disruption or makes the environment unsafe for others, parents and carers will be contacted, to take their child out of the room.

Feedback

Feedback both positive and negative allows us to grow and improve our services. This service provision is free of charge, we only ask that where possible you provide honest evaluation after delivery. We will provide feedback sheets to be filled out at the end of each session for children to complete, we can assist the children to do this. No names will be used on these sheets.

Intellectual property rights

All materials presented throughout the service are the intellectual property of Kids Inspire. Our materials are only to be used, copied or distributed with our explicit consent.

Confidentiality

Strict confidentiality policies and procedures bind all Kids Inspire staff. Kids Inspire staff will not share any information relating to any child in attendance without explicit consent and consideration of legitimate interests.

The only instances in which Kids Inspire staff would share information (and this would only be with necessary professionals in line with policy) are safeguarding concerns and for marketing purposes where explicit consent has been given to use feedback publicly.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Kids Inspire does not discriminate and encourages children and young people with disabilities, additional needs, and/or diverse backgrounds to attend our services. For our workshops to be fully inclusive and accessible, we ask that you tell us the additional needs of attendees before our attendance, so we can amend any practices required.
