A Home for Kids Inspire - Our capital campaign

A permanent home for children’s mental health support

A moment of opportunity

Since 2007, Kids Inspire has supported children, young people and families across Essex and the East of England who are living with the effects of trauma, abuse and significant mental health challenges.

Each year we provide specialist therapeutic support to more than 4,500 children, young people and family members. Alongside training and outreach that reaches over 15,000 professionals and community members.

We now have an opportunity to secure a permanent home for this work.

The campaign

A Home for Kids Inspire is a capital campaign to raise £1.1 million to purchase a new building designed specifically for therapeutic services and professional training.

We have already secured £365,000 towards this goal, and are now working with a small number of supporters and partners to complete the campaign.

Why this matters

Our current building was not designed for therapeutic work and is not a long-term option.

Relocating to rented accommodation would significantly increase costs, estimated at over £100,000 per year, reducing the resources available for frontline support.

Securing a permanent home will provide stability for children and families and ensure that resources remain focused on delivering care.

What this will help do

A new, purpose-designed centre will allow Kids Inspire to:

  • increase therapy capacity by approximately 30%

  • provide a consistent, safe and appropriate therapeutic environment

  • strengthen partnerships across education, health and community services

  • support professionals working with vulnerable children
