A final word for 2022

Sue Bell and supporters

A final word and thanks for her team (both paid and voluntary) from Sue Bell OBE, Kids Inspire's CEO and Clinical Director:

I have been continually inspired by our teams’ stamina and steadfast commitment to our mission and those we serve. Widespread fatigue, exhaustion and low morale is endemic across the whole health and social care system.

As a team we have all worked throughout the pandemic. There has been limited ‘down time’ to recover and reflect. The potential for a reduction in workload and pressure is unlikely as the need for our services remains greater than ever before and our referrals continue to increase.

Is this too bleak a picture? No. I think this is realistic and honest. But it is not all doom and gloom. Within this context there are examples of amazing dedication, hard work and resilience from our team.

I want to invite you all to reflect on the past year, to pause and celebrate your wins, learn from your losses, feel in awe of your growth, and count your blessings. We continue to live in an ever changing and unpredictable world and yet as a team we have demonstrated that we can adapt and thrive. Whilst 2021 has been a year of challenges, it has also been full of positive change and growth.

Building resilience is one of our core beliefs: providing the tools and resources to help individuals, families and communities bounce back from the most challenging situations. COVID-19 has been the ultimate resilience test for everybody. I could not be prouder of how our teams continue to do an incredible job helping others, even when they are facing the challenges of the pandemic themselves.

A Big Thank You

If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself. – Henry Ford

Without the teamwork and goodwill of everyone at Kids Inspire, achieving our goals and objectives would not be possible. Thank you so much everyone for your resilience, determination, and hard work.

I look forward generally to 2022 as an organisation, I am excited to have the sense that it will be yet another year where we experience robust growth and evolvement.

Let this message remind you all that you are amazing through and through. The biggest thank you comes your way for all that you have done. Thank you for your hard work and devotion to our common goals. Unplug, unwind, and settle in for a relaxing holiday season. Return to the new year safe and relaxed, ready to take on new challenges together.

With love and gratitude

Sue Bell OBE
