Mentoring Evening Success

On Tuesday 3rd July Kids Inspire held a Mentor Open Evening at
The County Hotel in Chelmsford.

The evening was aimed at providing further information to people interested in our Mentoring Scheme. A successful application to the Red Hill Trust has provided us with the funding that we need to train a new cohort of mentors to give children who need support one to one time with a suitably trained adult to help them to achieve more.

We had 30 attendees who listened to an inspiring speech from Kids Inspire Founder and CEO Sue Bell. Alongside Sue we heard from some existing mentors and also a mentee who all provided some insight into the benefit to be gained from the perspective of both the adult and the child. Many have now begun their journey with Kids Inspire and we really look forward to seeing them at the training sessions which are to be held in October and would invite anyone else who is interested in joining the team and can give up one hour each week to inspire a child to contact Nicola Lane at nicola@kidsinspire.org.uk or alternatively by telephone on 01245 348 707.
